Donate Items
When the baskets team puts together baskets, we always ask ourselves,
‘What would I like to receive’?

Fresh baking, magazines, preserves such as jams or chutneys, chocolates, chips, fresh produce, fresh flowers, cakes, biscuits, crackers, dried fruit and nuts, snack packs, honey, slices, gluten, dairy and nut free items, cordial, wine, coffee, tea, herbal tea and fruit drinks.

New toys for different ages, candles, novelty gifts, hand cream, after-shave, shower gel, sponges, moisturiser, colouring books or notebooks and pencils, stickers, bubbles, baby toys. baby items, wraps, face cloths, nappies and wipes, new clothes, knitted items, hats and shoes.

Especially valued are donations of vouchers for supermarkets or petrol outlets, as well as vouchers for spa treatments, activities and restaurants – these give those receiving baskets something to look forward to!

** Donations can be either delivered to allow an opportunity to come and meet some of our team in operation or we can easily coordinate a volunteer to collect.

Donate Items for Meals
Donations of fresh produce (fruit, vegetables, herbs), meat, staple ingredients (rice, pasta, flour, sugar, spices etc), chiller bags, food containers.

Anything that we can use in the preparation of meals is extremely welcomed. Whether it be a handful from an individual or bulk cartons from a business, we use it all.

Our output of meals is totally driven by the volume of donations we receive.

We have the resources, volunteers and capacity to manage any inflow of donations. We welcome anything that allows us to expand the number of people in our community we can reach out to help with meals.

Volunteer

We are always needing volunteers to help!

You can do things at home or join us for one of our meal cook-ups, basket packing days or events.

Here are some ways to help:-

To prepare for packing the baskets…
– Volunteer can offer home baking (slices/muffins/cakes), chutneys, jams
– Encourage and collect donations from friends, family, business connections
– Sort donations – remove pricing labels, repackage, wrap donations
– Package and label home baking donations
– Wrap toys, collate same size baby clothes into sets and package

Basket-packing
– Pack and present items into baskets
– Wrap and present baskets
– Serve tea and lunch for volunteers
– Deliver the baskets
We are always grateful for help with admin, fundraising, meal preparation, event organising and many other tasks.
We are completely reliant on the help of volunteers to keep going – and growing!
